Transparency matters to us, so here's the honest answer. Because we generate the energy exactly where it's consumed, we completely bypass the National Grid and its enormous distribution overheads. Those savings get passed directly to you in the form of a low, fixed kWh rate.

To keep our model financially viable — so we can keep offering zero-cost installations to as many businesses and homes as possible — we sell any surplus energy you don't use back to the National Grid via an export tariff. This protects us from variations in your consumption and means we can keep our headline kWh price as low as possible for you.

That's entirely up to you — and the longer you commit, the lower the rate we can offer. Our shortest contract is 5 years and the longest is 25 years. Most customers opt for somewhere between 10 and 15 years as the optimum balance of price and flexibility.

Whatever term you choose, the price remains fixed for the entire duration — it will never rise, even if grid electricity doubles or triples in price.

Absolutely. If you have the capital available and prefer to take 100% of the benefit from day one, we can simply sell you the solar system at a competitive price.

Our PPA model exists specifically for businesses and homeowners who either don't have the capital available or can't justify the upfront expenditure — giving them access to roughly half the savings of solar with none of the upfront cost.

You have three options at the end of your term:

1. Ask us to remove the system at no cost to you
2. Buy the system from us at a heavily discounted rate (often just £1)
3. Carry on paying for the energy at the same fixed rate you've been used to

The longer your initial contract, the lower your ongoing rate becomes.

You're free to end your contract at any time. During the contract period we simply ask that you buy the installed system for a proportion of its initial cost, calculated against how long it's been installed.

As a rule of thumb: on a 10-year contract, for every year that passes, the early-termination buyout cost reduces by roughly 10%. Your original quote will show this figure for every year of your contract, so there are no surprises.

We can offer to carry the contract over to the new owner or occupant at exactly the same rate, or you can purchase the system outright at a proportional cost based on its age.

In our experience, having an existing, low-cost electricity source already in place is a strong selling point that often adds value to the property rather than complicating a sale.

Yes — we'll need the building owner's agreement to install the system on their roof. The good news is that the owner also benefits: they can request a new EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) assessment and typically see their EPC rating improve by one grade on average, which adds value to the building.

If you already have a modern bi-directional meter (commonly called a "smart meter" or "net meter"), you do not need a separate export meter — your smart meter can measure both the energy you import from the grid and any excess you export back.

Without a smart meter, an export meter will need to be installed to track and credit your export energy correctly. Before we commence installation, you'll need to contact your utility provider or local grid operator to arrange this. They'll guide you through their standard process for installing a solar export meter.

Once installation is complete, your DNO (Distribution Network Operator) will issue certification containing your Export MPAN number. Please share this with our team so we can complete the final sign-off and commissioning process.

Yes — keeping your system operating at peak performance is in everyone's interest. We undertake periodic cleaning and scheduled maintenance, and remotely monitor the system around the clock for any electrical issues. This ensures maximum uptime and that you continue to enjoy the savings you signed up for.

No. Our solar system is supplementary to your existing energy supply, not a replacement for it. It supplies as much as it can directly from the sun, and anything it can't cover is automatically drawn from the grid via your existing supplier — exactly as it would be today.

In the unlikely event of a fault with our system, you simply take all your energy from the grid as normal until we've resolved the issue. You're never without power.

By default, no — but it can. We offer optional battery backup solutions that, in the event of a National Grid power cut, provide your premises with continuous power from your stored solar energy.

The cost of the battery is built into your fixed kWh rate, so there's still no upfront cost. Ask our team for a quote that includes battery backup if energy resilience is important to you.

Yes — we can add EV charging infrastructure to your system at no additional upfront cost. Users (staff, customers, visitors) pay a competitive rate to charge, and if you'd like to monetise visitor charging, we offer a revenue split based on the unit rate charged.
